Welcome to Rank. These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the Rank application (“App”), which provides a comprehensive selection of previous year question papers (PYQs), expert-curated questions, sample papers, and original board papers presented through a user-friendly interface. By accessing or using Rank, you agree to comply with these Terms. If you do not agree, please refrain from using the App.

1. Account Registration and User Information

  • Account registration is mandatory to access and utilize the services provided by Rank.
  • During registration, we collect the following information:
    • Full Name
    • Phone Number
    • Email Address
    • Profile Picture
  • This data is securely stored and is not shared with third parties, except where necessary for cloud services required to operate the App.
  • While there are no age restrictions for using Rank, the App is designed primarily for users aged 15 and above, targeting Class 11, Class 12, and post-12th-grade students.

2. Refund Policy

  • Refund Policy for digital products:
    • Payments are non-refundable once deducted, except in cases of server errors caused by the bank or payment gateway provider.
    • Refunds are not provided due to the extensive effort put into maintaining content quality and enhancing user experience.

3. Intellectual Property and Content Usage

  • Board-referred Content:
    • Rank provides content sourced from standard textbooks and board-referred materials such as NCERT, which are the intellectual property of their respective copyright holders.
    • Users are granted permission to read the content for educational purposes only and are prohibited from reproducing, distributing, or modifying it.
  • Rank’s Original Content:
    • Original content, including any eBook series or study materials produced by Rank, is protected under applicable copyright laws.
    • Any unauthorized reproduction, copying, or misuse of Rank’s proprietary content may result in legal action against the infringing individual or organization.

4. AI Usage and Limitations

  • The Rank app uses Gemini AI by Google to assist users with instant doubt-solving.
  • AI-generated responses may occasionally produce inaccurate or incomplete information. Users are advised to verify the information generated as necessary.
  • AI functionality is strictly intended for academic purposes. While measures are in place to restrict misuse, Rank assumes no liability for any explicit or inappropriate content generated by the AI.
  • Any misuse of AI features may result in account suspension or permanent termination.

5. Content and Accuracy Disclaimer

  • Despite rigorous verification by the Rank team, quiz content (PYQs, MCQs, etc.) may contain occasional errors due to human oversight.
  • Users are encouraged to report inaccuracies, and Rank will promptly address and rectify such errors.
  • Rank reserves the right to modify, add, or remove content at any time to ensure quality and relevance.

6. User Conduct and Misuse Policy

  • Misuse of Rank’s content, AI functionality, or any other service may result in temporary or permanent account suspension.
  • Misuse of forthcoming community features (currently under development) will also be subject to these guidelines.
  • Account Termination and Data Retention:
    • In cases of account termination, user data will remain stored on Rank’s servers.
    • Currently, permanent account deletion is not supported. Users may, however, log out and opt out of receiving notifications, emails, WhatsApp messages, and SMS communications.

7. Termination of Account and Policy Enforcement

  • Violation of these Terms or misuse of the App may result in account suspension or permanent termination at any subscription level (free or premium).
  • User data will be retained even after termination until future account deletion functionality is introduced.

8. Trademark and Legal Compliance

  • As of now, Rank is not a registered trademark.
  • In the event of legal issues or conflicts, the parent company reserves the right to modify the app’s name to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

9. Third-Party Integrations and Payment Gateway

  • Rank may utilize various PG's as its provider.
  • Users are required to adhere to the Terms & Conditions of PG and any other third-party integrations used within the App.
  • Rank assumes no liability for issues arising from the use of third-party services.

10. Modification of Terms & Conditions

  • Rank reserves the right to modify, update, or amend these Terms at any time as necessary.
  • Users will be notified of any changes, and acceptance of the revised Terms is required to continue using the App.
  • Users who do not wish to accept the changes may request permanent account deletion.

11. Limitation of Liability and Disclaimers

  • While Rank strives to provide accurate and verified content, the company does not guarantee that all information is error-free.
  • Rank assumes no liability for:
    • Examination performance based on the content provided.
    • Errors in AI-generated responses.
    • Occasional inaccuracies in quiz content despite verification.

12. Contact and Support Information

  • For queries, support, or dispute resolution, users may contact us via WhatsApp through the in-app functionality.

13. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

  • These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Assam, India.

14. Arbitration and Dispute Resolution

  • Rank does not currently offer arbitration or mediation processes for dispute resolution. All disputes will be resolved through the applicable judicial system.

15. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Rank, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. Failure to comply with these Terms may result in account suspension, termination, and/or legal action.
